Who we are?
Peter is the guy you will most often find in the shop at 725C Grey Street in Claudelands, Hamilton. Peter owns the business and has years of experience in identifying and examining precious metals (and knows there's always a lot more to learn!)
We have controlled entry to the shop, so please press the call button (once) on the door-phone to be let in during business hours. We will ask you to wait until a currently being served customer has finished for everyone's security.
What we do?
We buy precious metals based on quality and weight. We are interested in gold of all types (9k through to 24k), Silver in different purities, Platinim and Paladium. To set a price we measure the weight and purity and calculate our buy price based on market rates for precious metals. We also sell quality antique and vintage jewelry at prices far below main street shops.
Gold and silver bullion is becoming more and more popular. We stock most forms of gold and silver and can supply your special orders too. Come in to check out what we have in stock.
We are licenced Secondhand Dealers and members of The Jewellers and Watchmakers of New Zealand.

Our primary business is buying precious metals from you and selling them to you, but we do a few other things as well:
- Non-destructive metals analysis using our state-of-the-art XRF analysis tools - Verbal reports of metallic content (small items only) at $10 per item
- Provide "Certificates of Authenticity" for precious metals at just $25 per item
- Basic repair work (welding and replacement latches). Ask us what we can do for you and about our new engraving services
- Cleaning and polishing of jewellery items using professional tools and techniques
All sales are final. We do require copies of original IDs for all sellers of goods and hold the items for a period before processing them. You must be 18 or older to sell to us.
We prefer to pay and receive funds electronically if possible. There is a 2% surcharge on credit card transactions. No cash transactions of $10,000 or more as per the AML/CFT Act.
